We’ll consult with you through every step of the design process, working as a team to ensure the very best result. After all, we may have the expertise, but you’re the one who will be living, eating, working, even parking, in this space every day.
A major task needs a practiced hand.
A garden or driveway redesign will usually be one of the biggest landscaping projects you’ll undertake. And that’s why you need an expert’s eye. Whether you’re revamping the whole space, fine-tuning a particular element of the garden, or you’re just tired of pulling into that same old driveway every day – our experienced team can help breathe fresh life into your outdoor space.
When it comes to creating the right aesthetic for your driveway, the choice of which paving stones to use is a important one. We offer a wide range of options, so you can select the style that looks just right. There’s also the question of which laying pattern – an elegant and subtly laid-out pattern creates a really striking effect on your driveway and elevates it from somewhere you park you car to a standout feature of your home. If you’ve seen a style or pattern that you like, make a note of it, maybe even snap a picture, and we can make it happen. Don’t worry, we won’t tell the neighbours you copied them.
Every garden needs a space to relax in.
Not keen on mowing the lawn? Or maybe your home needs more space to entertain family and friends? Then a patio or paved area could be a great way of ensuring you can enjoy your time outdoors, without having to do too much maintenance. Whether you’re a frequent barbecuer in the summer months or the type who likes to recline in the sun, we’ll make sure your paved area is perfectly placed and just the right shape.
The key to a truly beautiful patio or paved area is choosing the right laying pattern – and there are plenty of them to choose from. Beginning with the simpler, stacked patterns, going all the way up to complex ‘random’ layouts involving flags of different sizes and shapes – we’ve seen and built virtually any type of patio you can imagine.
We offer a huge range of flags and paving stone styles, from quartzite to causse, sandstone to stonemaster. If you’d like to get a feel for the pavings we offer, you can visit bradstone.com/products/ to stock up on inspiration. Don’t see what you want? Don’t worry, we also use paving products from Marshalls and Natural Paving. Get in touch and we’ll help find a solution.
Enjoy every minute you spend outside without clambering over unruly plants or tripping on broken paths.
A well-laid path is a simple, but vital route to enjoying your garden. We take care in both the planning and preparation stages, to ensure that what we build stays built and you can easily navigate your space.
Borders and beds are going to hold the bulk of your garden’s plants, so they should be well-organised and beautifully executed. We take care at every step to make sure the plants chosen are just right, both for the level of light and the type of soil.
Is there anything sadder than a worn-out lawn?
We’ve seen the wear-and-tear that active kids, harsh winter weather and even domestic chickens can do to a lawn – and we’re expert at laying down new ones too. Fresh turf can instantly reinvigorate your garden, so that you no longer dread looking out of the window at your balding, brown garden.
We’re also able to advise on the best way to care for your grass, so that it remains looking green and gorgeous for a long time. A new lawn could be just a small part of your garden redesign, or we’re happy to take it on as a project in itself.
A water feature should bring sound and light into your garden.
…and it shouldn’t bring stress or unnecessary expense. Unless you have experience with designing and installing water features they can be notoriously tricky and often there are unforeseen costs for upkeep once they’re finished.
We’ve built hundred of ponds, fountains and rills for our customers over the years and we’ve learned from every project we’ve completed. We’re confident we can build you something that you’ll love, which will complement the aesthetic of your garden and will be within your budget – not just when it’s built, but going forward for many years.
Make the best of one of the most-used parts of your outdoor space.
Block paving is not just a good-looking and practical way of surfacing your drive, it’s also a sound investment because it’ll enhance the value of your property to boot. A damaged block is easily swapped out, so you’re protected from expensive overhauls and repair jobs.
Shingle driveways are another great option for your driveway, giving your property an element of country house charm. They’re fantastic in areas liable to flooding – so could be a good option if you’ve had problems with this in the past.
Walls and fences shouldn’t hem you in – and they can even enhance your garden.
Whether it’s to keep the eyes of nosy neighbours out, or the semi-feral household pet in, the chances are you’re going to need a fence or two around your garden. We’ll work with you to make sure that the fencing is an asset to the garden. We can also offer advice on long-term care.
Walls are just as often used as part of the garden as they are to form its boundaries. Whether you’re creating an elegant walled flower bed, or want to spruce up the front of your home, we can help.
Where better to enjoy a sunny summer’s day?
Garden decking gives you a great place to sit, socialise and eat with family and friends, all the while enjoying the fresh air and vibrant colours of the outdoors. We build decking to last and we’ll show you how to look after it too.
Railway sleepers can add a striking focal point to your garden, whether they’re used as the edges of raised flower beds, as borders for your pond or water feature, or even converted into a bench on which to sit quietly and enjoy the sights and sounds of your space.
Don’t know the difference*? It doesn’t matter, we do!
If you’re interested in having a structure built in your garden, be that a shelter for entertaining, a secluded place for quiet contemplation, or a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the views of your garden, we’ve got you covered.
We’re able to advise on which structure will fit best in your garden layout, as well as give you the maximum enjoyment of the outdoor space.
*Arbours tend to be arch-shaped and have latticed sides for climbing plants, while gazebos are freestanding structures with walls and a roof. Pergolas are typically just a roof, and often they are attached to the side of a main building.
